Aquameer: Engineering Inside Every Pipe

Not all PPR pipe is the same. Polypropylene is produced in three main types — PP-H (Homopolymer), PP-B (Block Copolymer), and PP-R (Random Copolymer). Aquameer uses only PPR-100 raw material in production, which offers roughly 20% more compressive strength than the lower-grade PPR-80 material still used by some manufacturers.

That distinction matters for pressurized water systems, where compressive strength directly affects long-term reliability under continuous pressure.

Aquameer's range goes beyond standard PPR-C pipe (available in PN16 and PN20 pressure classes, from 20mm to 110mm diameter). It also includes:

Composite pipe (glass-fiber-reinforced, PN20/PN25) — a three-layer construction (PPR–glassfiber–PPR) that eliminates the need for surface shearing before installation, resists freezing, and does not affect the color, smell, or taste of water passing through it.
Oxygen Extra Protect combi pipe (PN25, aluminum-foil core) — designed specifically to extend the lifespan of combi boilers and radiators by preventing oxygen absorption into the heating circuit, a common cause of long-term system degradation.

Around the pipe itself sits a full system: brass ball valves, butterfly valves and check valves, chrome-plated valves, brass transition fittings (male and female nipples, tap connections, filters) in sizes from 1/2" to 4", and the full range of elbows, tees, couplings, and reducers needed to complete an installation — all manufactured to ISO and CE standards.

Filago: Five Layers, One Floor

Filago's SPC flooring is built from five distinct layers — a UV coating, a wear layer, a PVC decor film, a rigid SPC core, and an IXPE underlayer — each engineered to do a specific job, from surface protection to sound dampening.

The published technical data behind that construction is detailed enough to specify with confidence: available in 4mm and 5mm total thickness with a 0.55mm wear layer, Filago flooring carries a Class 33/34 commercial-use rating under EN 16511 — meaning it is rated for heavy residential and general commercial foot traffic, not just light domestic use. Dimensional stability stays under 0.15%, abrasion resistance is rated at 2,000 to 4,000+ revolutions depending on thickness, and the fire classification (EN 13501-1) reaches Bfl-s1. Formaldehyde emission falls into Class E1 — the strictest standard commonly referenced in flooring specifications — and the product contains no pentachlorophenol (PCP).

Filago's wall panels follow the same standard of transparency: 2.7mm thick, available in widths up to 1220mm and lengths up to 2800mm, with less than 0.1% water absorption, a B1 fire rating, zero formaldehyde addition, and built-in resistance to termites and mold — all backed by a 15-year warranty across the range.
